May 2010 - Apollo Renewables sponsors the Marlborough International Jazz Festival

Apollo Renewables is for the third year sponsoring the Marlborough International Jazz Festival. Founded in 1986, the event takes place in several locations within the market town of Marlborough during the 9th - 11th July.  For more information about the festival visit their website at www.marlboroughjazz.co.uk.

 

 

March 2010 - welcome to two new members of staff

Apollo Renewables is pleased to welcome Justin Thacker and Naeen Datardina to the company. Justin will be working within our installation team while Naeem will be working on the project management of photovoltaic systems.

 

 

February 2010 - Feed-In Tariffs announced

The Government has announced details of its ‘Clean Energy Cashback Scheme’, a Feed-In Tariff (FIT) that will start from April 2010. The FIT replaces the Low Carbon Buildings Programme funding. For more information about the scheme see the Department of Energy and Climate Change press release.

 

 

January 2010 - welcome to a new member of staff

December 2009 - Funding runs out for photovoltaic systems within Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Building Programme

Due to high demand the allocated Government funding for photovoltaic systems under Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme ran out on the 30th November 2009. Further details can be found on the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2 website. However please note that installations installed outside of the grant programme will be eligible for the Feed-in Tariff form April 2010, see our funding page for further information.

 

However funding is still available for photovoltaic systems for domestic clients under Phase 1 of the funding programme. Domestic clients who apply for funding will also be eligible for the Feed-in Tariff when introduced in April 2010. Please see our funding page for more details.

 

 

July 2009 - Apollo Renewables Installs the Largest Domestic PV installation in the UK

During the summer of 2009 Apollo Renewables installed what is believed to be the largest single domestic installation in the UK. The ground mounted system has a total rated power of 70.2kW and will generate over 56,000 kWh per year. The system will benefit from the Feed-in Tariff to be introduced in April 2010.
